Future
Objectives
- broaden CHEPA’s research portfolio,
membership, and funding base, which will include building
further strength in the economic evaluation of drugs, technology,
and other clinical interventions; adding new members from
a wide range of McMaster faculties and departments; and
establishing an endowed chair in health economics and health
policy;
- strengthen links with health services,
systems and policy decision makers;
- recruit, support and retain outstanding
faculty by establishing continuing funding streams to support
fellowships for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows
and junior faculty;
- expand student and faculty access to health-related
administrative and survey data; and
- cultivate an advisory council that represents
key target audiences for CHEPA’s research and knowledge
translation activities, provides strategic advice and facilitates
linkages with health decision makers.
Funding
Sources
- Funding for the Centre is provided by McMaster
University, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term
Care, and other sources both within and outside the health
sector. The Centre raises about one-third of its funding
